About
My name is Peter and I like to take photos and make things with my hands. I go in and out of different crafts, depending on the season of life. Throughout it, photography has always been a constant creative outlet.
Growing up as a third culture kid, I had the privilege of getting to see how people went about their days in diverse parts of the world. I would take in all the sights and sounds and flavors around me, not realizing at the time the depth to which those experiences would influence my outlook on life.
Making art helps keep the balance in a world that seems increasingly out of alignment. Everything is a transaction or a subscription service and we are constantly bombarded with content everywhere we look. Art helps pierce through the fog of idiocracy so that we can connect with each other, nature, and the universe.
It took me longer than I’m willing to admit to call myself an artist, even though I have enjoyed being creative my entire life. I think we all possess the ability to create and to be creative; the key is to lean into our inner childlike curiosity and explore the world as if we’re seeing things for the first time.
I love to create things and put it out into the world. So thanks for checking out my stuff.
Peter
